Health‐related quality of life in children with early‐stage juvenile idiopathic arthritis

In this study, researchers aimed to measure the health-related quality of life (HRQOL) in patients with juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA), a chronic inflammatory illness that results in declined physical and psychological abilities. Throughout 2015, they conducted a cross-sectional study of Thai children and their parents using the Thai version of a pediatric quality of life scale. Results indicated that almost half of Thai children with JIA had subpar HRQOL, and that the physical health care was the lowest subscale reported. They recommended early, effective management of this disease to enhance HRQOL in children with JIA.
