Dr. Martin Reck Discusses Lung Cancer Highlights at Upcoming ESMO Congress

Martin Reck, MD, PhD, of the LungenClinic Grosshansdorf, discusses what he looks forward to at the European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO) Congress 2024, held from September 13-17 in Barcelona, Spain.

“We will have new data on all major tumor entities, but of course, we will see a lot of very interesting news also in the field of lung cancer,” Dr. Reck said.

He explained some key data in lung cancer that will be presented at the ESMO Congress 2024.

“We will have new data on patients without oncogenic alterations, and data about immunotherapy,” Dr. Reck said. “We will have first data on new immunotherapy combinations… and we will hear a lot about other approaches in the field of immunotherapy.”

Dr. Reck said that there will also be new data on targeted therapies for patients with non-small cell lung cancer, and much more.

“Overall, we have a very comprehensive update, very exciting news that we would like to share there,” Dr. Reck said. “This is really a big congress, which is worth it to visit.”
